Day 1: Exploring the Heart of Agadir
Today, we are exploring Agadir, a city that blends modernity with deep historical roots. Walking through its streets, we can feel the echoes of its past, knowing that this city, now Morocco’s most modern metropolis, has risen from the devastation of the 1960 earthquake. The city’s resilience is nothing short of inspiring.

Agadir Oufella: A Journey to the Past
Our first stop is Agadir Oufella, the ancient kasbah that once overlooked the city from its perch 300 feet above. This fortress, originally built in the 16th century by Sa’di Sultan Muhammad al-Shaykh, was once a small city of its own, housing mosques, hospitals, and even a Jewish quarter. Though much of it was lost in the earthquake, standing here, we can still admire the breathtaking panoramic views of Agadir and the vast Atlantic stretching beyond.

A Visit to Souk El Had: A Market Full of Life
Descending back into the city, we make our way to the vibrant Souk El Had. The moment we step inside, we’re surrounded by an explosion of colors and scents—piles of spices, fresh produce, handcrafted leather goods, and the distinctive aroma of freshly baked bread. The merchants are incredibly welcoming, offering us a taste of Amlou, a delicious mix of almonds, honey, and the famous argan oil. It’s impossible to leave empty-handed!

Agadir Marina & Boat Ride Experience
As the afternoon sun shines bright, we head towards the coastline. Agadir’s beach is a dream—golden sand, refreshing sea breeze, and a lively promenade lined with cafés and restaurants. We grab a coffee at the Marina, soaking in the relaxed atmosphere before embarking on a boat ride along the coast. The view of Agadir from the water is simply breathtaking, a perfect mix of urban elegance and natural beauty.

Before we leave for the beautiful riad where we’ll be staying, we take one last stroll along the waterfront, reflecting on Agadir’s charm. Tomorrow, we head to Taghazout for a completely different experience!

Day 2: The Surfing Paradise of Taghazout
A short drive north takes us to Taghazout, a small fishing village that has become a surfer’s paradise. There are no words to describe the magic of this place—crystal-clear waves, laid-back vibes, and a sense of pure freedom.
Surfing & Beach Adventures

Taghazout is known for its world-class surf spots, so we decide to give it a try! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced surfer, the waves here are perfect for everyone. The energy of the surfers around us is contagious, making the experience even more exciting.
A Taste of the Ocean
After the adrenaline rush, we find a cozy seaside café where we enjoy the freshest seafood, caught just hours ago. The simplicity of grilled fish, a squeeze of lemon, and a side of traditional Moroccan salads is absolute perfection.

Sunset Yoga & Evening Strolls
As the sun begins to set, we join a sunset yoga session—there’s something about stretching and meditating with the sound of waves crashing nearby that feels almost spiritual. Before heading back to Agadir, we take a final walk along the shore, letting the peaceful atmosphere sink in.

Agadir and Taghazout are not just destinations; they are experiences—filled with warmth, adventure, and stories waiting to be discovered. If you haven’t been here yet, it’s time to add them to your list!
