Morocco is one of the most dynamic economies in Africa, achieving continuous growth for many
years. It is forecasted that the Moroccan economy will record a growth of 6% in 2008, despite
the problems that affect the world economy.

However the rapid growth in the infrastructure of Morocco and its increasing commercial links
with major trade countries, has not affected the exotic charm of Morocco.

Whether you are in the hustle of the medina in Marrakech, the commercial centre of Casablanca, or the wide open streets of Rabat there is still the Moroccan charm that envelopes the whole Country.

For many years Morocco was dismissed by travelers and businesses a like, this is changing fast. The increase in tourism and development projects, such as the new Tangiers Freeport and the
Casablanca Marina, are indicative of the growth Morocco is undergoing. The many new road
projects and upgrading of rail links are making travel within Morocco less demanding, allowing
the free movement of both people and goods throughout the country.

Tourism is an increasingly important source of revenues, with the government setting ambitious
plans for the future and is targeting 10 million visitors annually by 2010.Nut tourism isn’t the only sector where Morocco is expanding, its commercial and trade sectors are experiencing major growth.

Morocco has also signed a number of key trade agreements with the European Union, The USA
and with various Arab countries, all generating increased trade. However it is Europe that now
accounts for two thirds of the Countries trade balance as Morocco forges closer links with many
European Countries reducing its dependency on its traditional links with France.

Morocco is both an exotic land for travel and a dynamic economy for trade.
